In a nutshell, Rocko Rosenblatt started this family business over 30 years ago, by taking a risk...by combining an enthusiastic interest in "rocks" with a dedicated passion to work for himself...and continues to do what he loves today. Retail and wholesale, searching the world for the finest mineral treasures! He began digging herkimer diamonds and purchased a van full of rock collecting gear - that was it. Traveled to trade shows, consigned in Tucson for seasoned dealers, ventured to Mexico to find carvers, flew to South Africa to see mines in person, sold at Munich and other famous shows! The passion has only grown. We now have two locations on the east coast and two locations during Tucson each year (retail/wholesale).

We buy, sell and showcase a variety of minerals for anyone interested; from amateur to the most seasoned collectors. Over the years we have become well versed dealers in New York and New England material, Congo specimens, South African crystals, Worldwide fluorites and many USA localities. Our specialty has most recently become one of the northeast's most incredible zinc deposits, the Balmat material of New York State. ROCKO MINERALS is able to offer the world some of the best material available. New finds at the mine have energized the collecting world and been the most incredible finds in New York State mineral history. These include the famous Lavender Calcites, gem Yellow Sphalerite (and red!) and purple - yes PURPLE - Anhydrite.

Led by owner/founder Robert Rosenblatt, our team is located on the east coast and features a cast of family and friends, all of which offer their own expertise in the business!

We sell most of our retail mineral specimens online via "LIVE" sales on Rocko's Facebook page, as well as special offerings via Rocko tiktok and Rocko Instagram. Wholesale parcels are available at the East Coast/Springfield mineral show in August and annually at the Tucson mineral show in January.

 

Soon we hope to have some material here on the website as well!

We exhibit for the public via trade shows & private appointment, and, of course, display & sell annually at the mecca of rock shows, in Tucson AZ.

Our offices are headquarters at Norad Mill in N. Adams, MA with additional offices at our home in Adams, NY and Mineral City Building D in Tucson Jan/Feb.
